Trespassing Charge Dismissed For College Student

Published: May 17, 2017, by admin in Crimes Against Peace & Public, Property

After a college student was asked to leave a local train station, he apparently returned and found himself charged with criminal trespass to land. While this may seem like a minor inconvenience, this young man did not want to see this trespassing charge on his criminal record and any future employment opportunities unnecessarily affected. Therefore, he sought out qualified legal representation from Chicago property crimes lawyer Michael O’Meara.

Acting on his client’s behalf, attorney O’Meara began discussing the case with the prosecutor. By advocating for his young client, attorney O’Meara successfully persuaded the prosecutor to dismiss the trespass charge. As a result, the young man no longer needed to worry about any negative consequences and is free to pursue an expungement, which will completely remove the incident from his record.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
