Not Guilty Verdict For Man Facing Domestic Battery Charge

IL v. SM
Not too long ago, O’Meara Law LLC represented a man on a DUI case and was able to obtain a dismissal of all charges. More recently, he took on a case for the same 30-year-old man. His client allegedly pushed his female housemate to the ground with significant force in an argument, as such, resulting in a domestic battery charge against him. The Cook County man once again sought out the legal guidance of attorney Michael O’Meara at this time.

Advocating on behalf of his client, O’Meara aggressively fought during the bench trial, arguing that his client was acting only in self-defense. The presiding judge agreed and at the completion of the trial, O’Meara’s client was successfully found not guilty in his domestic battery charge against his housemate.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
