Driving Privileges Restored After Man’s Second DUI

It isn’t always just legal penalties that people have to deal with when they make mistakes. Often times, other collateral consequences can put people in compromising positions, but with help from a capable attorney, these can be properly managed. Such was the case for a man who lost his ability to drive when his license was revoked after his second DUI. With a family to support and a job that required him to drive, the man was understandably very concerned.

Unfortunately, the man decided to attend a hearing about his license without a lawyer, but this proved unsuccessful and his application for driving privileges was promptly denied. When he became even more worried about his job and his family’s fate, the man reached out to Chicago defense lawyer Michael O’Meara to see if he had any options left.

Once retained, attorney O’Meara moved to have his client’s ability to drive reinstated. Attorney O’Meara appeared with him during another formal hearing before the Secretary of State and by presenting his case in an appropriate and convincing manner, his client was finally granted driving privileges. By restoring his ability to drive, this client was also able to preserve his livelihood and his family’s well-being.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
