Chicago Woman Sees Resisting Law Enforcement Charge Dropped

Resisting a police officer is a serious offense in Illinois, and a Chicago-area woman recently charged of that (amongst other crimes) faced a mandatory jail sentence in addition to a conviction. Knowing supervision wasn’t grantable to people facing resisting an officer, she knew she needed a veteran Chicago criminal defense lawyer if she wanted to avoid such grievous consequences. She retained attorney Michael O’Meara and through tactful negotiation, attorney O’Meara convinced the prosecutor to drop the charge that would otherwise have sent her to jail.
