Case Dismissed For Woman In Cook County Aggravated DUI and Aggravated Driving On Revoked License

IL v. AB
A Cook County woman in her 20s was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and aggravated driving on a revoked license. The woman failed the field sobriety tests and her breathalyzer result indicated a .193 which is in excess of the .08 Illinois legal limit. Well aware of the potential impact a third DUI conviction would hold on her career and freedom, she extended her case to experienced Chicago criminal defense and DUI attorney Michael O’Meara.

After reviewing her case, O’Meara was determined to find a way for her to keep her job and freedom. Filing a motion to quash her arrest and suppress the BAC evidence against her, O’Meara successfully argued that the officer stopped our client unconstitutionally. As a result of his strong argument, the judge agreed and forced the prosecutor to dismiss all charges against his client. Our client’s career and freedom were saved upon the successful case dismissal.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
