CDL License Not Revoked For Truck Driver Facing DUI Charge

Published: Dec 09, 2015, by admin in DUI

IL v. EH

A 30-year-old truck driver with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) was facing his second DUI charge. A serious offense for any CDL driver, the man was worried he would lose his license to drive, ultimately ending his career. Attorney O’Meara represented the man and knew he would have to win both the DUI and statutory summary suspension or else his client would lose his license.

O’Meara dedicated his time to finding a solution to his client’s pressing situation. After long negotiations, a deal was made with the prosecutor to reduce the DUI charge to reckless driving, furthermore, rescinding his summary suspension. His client continues to drive professionally as a result of this outstanding outcome.
