CDL Driver With Excessive BAC Rescinded Summary Suspension

IL v. SK
O’Meara Law LLC recently represented a truck driver with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) who was facing a DUI. A blood test at the hospital determined a .24 BAC, excessively over the legal Illinois limit of .08. The Cook County man was facing losing his CDL and ultimately his truck-driving career.

A DUI conviction for a CDL holder is a serious offense in the state of Illinois and carries enough weight to end a professional driving career. Chicago DUI lawyer Michael O’Meara was determined to see that his client would not experience this as a result of his first DUI offense. After filing a petition to rescind his summary suspension, the motion was granted. His client was happy to be able to keep his job as a result of a successful outcome.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
